Symphonika Announcement

Post by Dan Pop » Thu Nov 09, 2006 8:34 pm

Hello folks, just to let you know that my new instrumental album is pre-selling now from the Ooberman shop (http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/artis ... t=Ooberman).

It's coming out a week early (4th December) on the web shop, elsewhere on 11th - Amazon, indie shops, itunes etc.

There'll only ever be 300 copies, each one signed and hand-numbered by me.

I really enjoyed putting these tracks together, and personally it's amongst my favourite stuff of my own.

Enjoy the shivery wintery wonder :-) it's as Disney as you get but you know you love it.

Damn card keeps getting declined. Looks as though I'm out of money again.

I've got mine on order! It gave me a good excuse to also buy "Robopop: The Return" and bundle it together to save postage.

Retro. :)

P.S. I love that this is coming out on CD. Too many independent releases are coming out on iTunes only... and that is a terrible shame!

I've ordered mine. Maybe it'll help to put the soon to be youngest Ooberman fan to sleep, here's hoping.
If we come from nowhere here, why can't we go somewhere there?

honey pie, i don't know when it started, just stop buying your albums from the supermarket. They only sell records that have charted.

After listening to the preview on My Space, I decided to get a copy of the album for my dad for Christmas. While he probably wouldn't like Ooberman, he does like classical music so he should enjoy Symphonika. That's one less Christmas pressie to worry about.

On the Symphonika website it says:

"All tracks feature strings from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and many also feature the hypnotic voice of Ooberman's lead singer Sophia Churney, albeit in the form of abstract oohs and ahs."

Since when was Sophia the lead singer?
