Re: Ooberman music on a night out

No, but there's a place in Islington, London that I reckon would play some, and probably have. The indie night runs once a month and is called Do You Remember The First Time. They have Ooberman on their band list :D

Re: Ooberman Sheet Music

Dan, you wonderful man! That's really cheered me up :o)

Chantal, good work on the antispam mate, it had got rather silly. Good to have some proper dialogue on here at last.

I'm off now to try and balance my laptop over my keyboard whilst I tinkle some notes ;o)

Cardiff is cool. I saw Blur do a fantastic gig there in Dec 97 right after they'd brought back Popscene to their live set. Happy days.

Re: Wuthering Heights / Some People...

I have a good cover of WH by a band called China Drum. Wouldn't mind knowing what the DC version sounds like though! My fav DC songs would have to be The Certainty Of Chance and I've Been To A Marvellous Party :)

A small venue gig would be great, it's been far too long :)

Re: Greetings From a Newbie

Cool, thanks people. Where is everyone from anyway? I'm in Reading these days. Being a bit quiet isn't good, but at least it's better than myspace pages where there's always 50 posts a day, and you know that whatever you post won't get read by the band cos no-one can be arsed to read all that every ...

Greetings From a Newbie

Hi all, I saw my first Ooberman gig in 1997 in a pub in Southampton whilst I was at uni and decided there and then to buy the album when it eventually came out.

Am hoping to find some more Ooberman fans on here who know what I'm on about when I tell people how good Ooberman are!

Re: would any ooberman albums make it into your top 10?

Yup, definitely.

In fact, The Magic Treehouse is one of my favourite albums of all time. I wish people would make records like that more often instead of releasing boring rubbish.
