Re: Ooberman Resurrection Tour - Nov 2011

Unfortunately Sophie has a potentially serious illness which now makes this plan look very unlikely for the foreseeable future,

Sorry about that but thanks for the enthusiasm!

Re: Sunday Times article on The Magic Theatre

the magic theatre hero goes to a place outside of time and space, in the magic theatre, which conveniently and mysteriously is able to plop you back into the continuum at any arbitrary point.

it's beyond human comprehension, which is why i can't explain it.

Re: Sunday Times article on The Magic Theatre

hi Jeff The UK release of London Town was on our Rotodisc label, but the international release is planned by Elefant of Spain. Elefant know what they're doing so they might be able to sell a few :) The next two albums are on Elefant - they've made it clear that they're all about releasing things the...

Re: Sunday Times article on The Magic Theatre

nope, no fame, and such fortune as i have has come through music for movie trailers, not this songwriting lark. The magic theatre, like every Ooberman album we ever did, has sold hardly anything and lost money. but that isn't the point, we loved doing it, I'm very happy with the end result and glad ...

Re: New Symphonika Album - Download Now, Free!

Here's an example of my Symphonika music being used. It was a TV ad last year, with Patrick Stewart doing the voiceover:

Well how about:

1. best b-side
2. best from each album or ep (including running girl, bluebell & shorley wall)

and then another poll later... a poll of polls from those winners

Anyone know how to set up a big poll? I think it'd be useful to set up a big 2006 ooberpoll. 3 good questions would be Best Song from Each Album Best B-side Best Overall Song This info could be useful to put on the jukebox to guide newcomers to the best stuff. God knows how you'd do something with s...

no, sorry, not enough time in the day i'm afraid. so much to do! i'm making dreadfully slow progress with this elaborate Magic Theatre plan... doing 3 albums of orchestral music for a commercial library company in order to reduce it down to 12 or so tracks that will form the basis of the new MT albu...

Off the top of my head.. 1. Shorley Wall 2. Running Girl 3. Carried Away 4. Blossoms Falling 5. Roll Me in Cotton The reason some of our songs aren't as good on compilations is the way they were placed on albums to maximise their impact... something straight after weirdness... something calm after l...

James is right. "the first 300 copies will be signed" - and indeed it will take 300 years to sell all of those copies, it being a very small scale release indeed. The signing is a ploy to shift a few and try not to lose too much money. It WILL be limited in the sense that a second batch is unlikely ...

ok ok i accept i overdid it on hey petrunko - it distorts in places. but this time although it's loud we were careful to avoid clipping. it was even normalised to -0.03 dB to avoid the dreaded zero. and although it's very dishonourable to pass the blame... i used andy's mastered mix of crashing elli...
